Two Nationally ranked EIWA foes faced each other in an epic match on Sunday!

No. 21 Myles Takats (174) faced his stiffest test of the season on Sunday in Bucknell's match against Liberty division foe, Navy. Takats squared off against 2025 NCAA All-American No. 9 Danny Wask. The Bison grappler fell behind 3-1 early in the match, but rallied to secure a late takedown of his own. Navy challenged the call but replay upheld the takedown call.

In the third period, Wask, validating his high ranking, struck for a takedown to take the lead. Showing a strong "will-to-win," Takats deftly maneuvered for an escape point, tying the bout at 6-6 and sending the bout into sudden victory.

The first sudden victory period ended with neither wrestler being able to secure a takedown. Both wrestlers proved equal in countering the other's setups and attacks. Wask gained a reversal in the second overtime period but Takats immediately earned his own and evened the score at 8-8. Knowing his riding time in SV would be the top tie-breaker criteria, Takats choose nuetral as the two entered the final overtime period.  As was proved earlier in the match, both wrestlers were evenly matched on their feet and neither wrestler scored a SV takedown. With the riding time criteria in hand, Takats earned the overtime victory!
