Colbert comes out on top in a battle between two highly ranked heavyweights to earn EIWA Wrestler of the Week honors.

In Army's home dual against Lehigh on Sunday, Feb. 1, Army's Brady Colbert was able to secure two takedowns to come out on top in the battle between Colbert, the No. 3, and Taylor, the No. 1 ranked heavyweight in the EIWA.

Colbert, ranked number 17 nationally, secured a hard-earned takedown mid-way through the match against Lehigh's Nathon Taylor, ranked number five in the nation. The takedown gave Colbert a 4-1 lead as the two entered the third period.

Colbert and Taylor literally banged heads in the immense battle between the nationally ranked "Big Men." After some time to bandage a cut to Taylor's head, the match continued with Colbert scoring a late takedown and a riding time point to secure the 8-1 victory and EIWA Wrestler of the Week honors.

Army Head Coach Troy Nickerson says, "Brady has been "bought in" since Day One and continues to get better every time he steps on the mat.  Sunday's match was a big win for him. He proved to himself that he can compete with anyone at this weight class.  We are proud of him!"
