Binghamton's No. 27 Carter Baer nabs EIWA Wrestler of the Week honors with key EIWA win over Drexel's No. 16 Jasiah Queen.

Both wrestlers are ranked top four in the EIWA, so the match had significant importance in potential EIWA seeds as well as their national ranking.

The match was a low scoring affair as is often the case when highly skilled/ranked wrestlers face each other. Both wrestlers fought to a scoreless tie at the end of the first period.

In the second, Baer began on top and was able to ride Queen for the entire two minutes. Baer then received a point after Queen chose to begin the third period neutral. Queen made multiple attempts to get the go-ahead takedown, but Baer was able to defend himself to hold the lead, before he ultimately earned the riding time point and the victory.

Baer's win vaulted him to No. 21 in Flo's national rankings, while Queen dropped to No. 22.  These rankings are particularly significant as typically, the top 27 wrestlers at each weight earn an automatic NCAA qualifying  spot for their weight in the EIWA Championships.
