Kyle Waterman (133) earned EIWA Wrestler of the Week honors by defeating No. 9/13 Dylan Shawver in Sunday's dual meet between Drexel and Rutgers.

Waterman put three team points on the board for Drexel with an upset of Rutger's No. 13 Dylan Shawver at 133 pounds. Waterman scored a key a takedown with short time remaining in the first period and then opened the second period with an escape to take a 4-0 lead after two periods.

Shawver battled back as he scored his own escape and takedown in the third period to tie the match at 4-4. With regulation time winding down, Waterman scored a late escape to secure a 5-4 upset victory over the Scarlet Knight.

Drexel Head Coach Matt Azevedo says, "I'm so happy for Kyle! He's been putting a lot of extra time in the room working on his hand fight and leg attacks. It's great to see all of his hard work paying off."
