"EIWA Wrestler of the Week," Nick Babin (125) Columbia

Columbia's Nick Babin has been named EIWA Wrestler of the week after two convincing dual meet wins. On Friday in Columbia's dual meet against EIWA rival American, Babin secured a WBF in 1:03 against Maximilian Leete (125), one of American's top wrestlers. Leete leads the nation in pins,  so he's one of the most dangerous wrestlers in the country.

On Sunday Columbia squared off in a home dual with perennial wrestling power Oklahoma State.  Babin faced No. 16 Trevor Mastrogiovanni, one of the Cowboys' top wrestlers.  Babin put on a dominating performance, scoring two takedowns, an escape and riding time, in blanking Mastrogiovanni 6-0.

With the two wins this weekend, Babin moves to 12-7 overall this season. He is now 3-2 in dual matches and 1-0 in EIWA duals. Babin has posted four major decisions, one tech fall and one fall this season.
